The Buttimer Group has been in operation since 1978. The company was founded by Mr. Edward Buttimer who still chairs the Group. The initial focus of the company was the Dairy Industry as a result of experience gained by Mr Buttimer whilst he worked as Engineering Manager for Mitchelstown Creameries. Due to market restrictions, ie size of market within Ireland, the company diversified  initially into most facets of the Agricultural Industry and then further afield into specialised structures including Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Passenger, Road and Rail Bridges plus other Design and Build projects. The Company focused on the growing and changing economy and constantly altered its Service offering to suit the style and structure of requirements as they changed through the last 30 years.

As a result of our wide range of activities over the past 33 years we have built up vast engineering and problem solving ability within our chosen industries. We pride ourselves in being able to solve problems that others have no desire or ability to do.

During the years we have working outside of Ireland but mainly following existing customers where projects arise. However in 2005 we took the decision to set up a business in Poland where we would service the Polish and surrounding markets. Drawing on our ability from our Irish operations we are able to offer our vast experience into new markets and along the way develop local engineers, and so now have a business that is able to operate independently but also supported if needs be.

Our aim as The Buttimer Group is first and foremost to have satisfied customers. We work in an industry where problems always arise and a company is judged on how they react to them. We can confidently say that we have a first class track record. Testament to this is the fact that in the region of 80% of our business comes from our existing Customer Base, many have been with the Company for in excess of 20 years.

Buttimer Ireland is certified in ISO9001:2008 the universally accepted standard in Quality Management Systems. Our quality staff control all aspects of engineering manufacture to ensure we maintain the highest standards.
