Health & Safety

E. Buttimer & Co. has maintained an excellent safety record in the execution of all on/off site activities supervised by a full time occupational health and safety officer.

Our activities comply with the 1989 safety health & welfare at work act and S.I. 138 construction regulations.

The following safety measures are taken with respect to employees:

• All employees have completed a safepass one day course and have all successfully passed the compulsory exam.  

• All employees operating teleporters, forklifts, MWEP etc have had relevant training and are in possession of their CSCS cards. 

• Our site foremen have completed, "Managing construction site safety" course put on by NIFAST.  

• All tasks/positions which require further training, e.g. scaffolding, banksman, confined space, first aid, etc, have received the relevant training.  

• We have three qualified safety officers.  

• All new employees hired are given a compulsory induction and are issued with a safety booklet.

The company has received recognition for their contribution to safety performance on numerous projects. Examples being:
